Help with using Newsleacher

I've decided to try Newsleacher and I've set up a 3 day trial with a giganews as well.

Now here is the problem, i've found a file i want to download. Added it to the queue but the download wont start, it just sits in idle. I've checked Kaspersky firewall settings and allowed Newsleacher through but still the dl wont start. Have i missed a key step? Does anyone know of a guide or help me work through the problem?

I did press connect but when i try a new file it still comes up with 'initialising' and transfer scanned'. Why wont it start?
