Bit of a Torrent newbie here. I've started to download 174 files that make up a set of free Spanish photo scenery for FSX. Now someone is sending me the files on a drive and this will arrive before the torrents finish downloading. How can I replace the partially downloaded files with those from the HD so I can seed these files back in to the system?

The idea I had was to delete the incomplete files and put the competed ones in the completed folder but will uTorrent notice and see these as complete? I'm not sure as it looks like the local torrent file is used to keep tabs on which sections etc have been downloaded.

Any clues anyone?
TIA

When the drive comes, stop the torrent and copy over the files to where you were downloading it and overwrite them.

Then once that's done start the torrent again and it should check the files and adjust the % downloaded and continue.

If the files are exact copies and the one on the HD is 100% completed then you just copy the completed ones to where you are downloading it and overwrite the files (stop the torrent and close utorrent first).

Then uTorrent will check the file against the torrent file and update the downloaded amount.

Roger that, BTW I think you meant 1cmake.

I fully intend to copy progress to date so if something does go wrong I can at least put the files back as was and finish the download the slow way so I can help others get this.
