Help with Virgin 50mb

Hi Folks.

I have just had 50mb cable installed and it is only operating at 25mb. I have run several tests and tried downloading multiple files and it maxes at 25. I am experienced with networks and i know it is the service rather than my equipment, so my question is how to get Virgin to do something about it? I have phoned several times and they just fob me off saying that the maintainence is ongoing. I want a fix and at least a temporary reduction in price...............what's the best way to get them to listen?

VM's own virginmedia.support.broadband.cable newsgroup is the best place to get info from knowledgeable staff about any service issues you may be experiencing.

As for a temporary reduction in price that's something you'd need to call and discuss, it'll probably be a struggle though.
 
I assume you've tried using speedtest.net? Try the London one on that page and report back...
