hi i am going to try watercooling but dont no what to buy.

your expertise is needed please.

budget of £50 to £100 max.

i dont mind buying second hand items.

my E8400 can do 4500mhz but gets hot hot hot .

Samsung T240 24" ( will be here monday morning ) yesss
E8400 @ 4.050 ghz @1.29v
3GB Reaper pc2-9200 @ 1080mhz @2.2v
HD4870 512MB with accelero cooler @ 790/1100
DFI Bloodiron p35-t2rl
Arctic freezer 7 cpu cooler
Hyper 630m psu
Thermaltake shark tower

for that budget, something like the Corsair H50 kit is prob your best bet if you want to try out WC, but imo you'd be better staying with high end air than low end water

I would 95thrifles advice and go for high end air cooling rather than cheap water. Gonna seriously struggle on that budget. Even buying second hand its gonna be hard to stick under £100. You'll manage to get pump, rad and block for that, but then need to factor in buying barbs, tubing, coolant, fans for rad etc. I'd say £150 minimum for water cooling the CPU.

A high end air setup would be much better, get somthing like a Megahalems, TRUE or Fenrir cooler and then stick a couple of decent fans on, somthing like the Noctua P12 :)

I would rewind time and go and look at any of the other gazillion threads on watercooling...

But that's just me and I know where the secret search bunny lives...

just taken off my freezer 7 and lapped cpu and cooler .

mounted another fan on it sucking the air away

pointed it upwards towards the psu

knocked 10-12 degress centigrade off temps

paste must have dried up
