I have a Linksys WRT54GL router using the latest Tomato Firmware, my access point is up stairs at the front of the house and my Nintendo Wii is downstairs in the living room towards the rear of the house.
Now Im using Call Of Duty: World At War as an example here, the connection monitoring on that game always says on average i get around 4 out of 5 bars if im lucky (light green), and very rarely goes to a full 5 bars (dark green), but most of the time seems to flip between 3 & 4 bars (yellow & green) and this incosistancy in the connection is playing havok with my online games!
I have posted below the current wireless setup on my router with the tomato FW:
Now is there any settings i should change in the above which would boost my wireless performance??, i dont really want to put anymore power through the antenna's, as i know doing this decreases the quality of the signal which is not what i want. Any suggestions??
