okay so after reseting my bios and re installing windows again i finally have got it working but still have one problem

when i use the onboard gfx it is fine it boots up and everything however when i install my gfx card it just goes to starting windows screen and no more, i have tested this card out in a vista machine and is working fine and i have tested another gfx card in my motherboard and that works so what is wrong also after the card was installed in my machine for about 4 mins the back of the card was hot not red hot but a lot hotter than i was expecting so any ideas guys as i like this card and dont fancy buying a new 1
