Help with windows repair.

OK basically i booted up my PC this moring and got a blue screen saying, that windows had to shut down because of some error.

Error message: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Have all the latest drivers installed Catalyst 6.7 etc


OK, so i put in the OEM Windows CD, and clicked on the windows installation tab, and i ran the repair, and not the full installation of windows because it deletes, everything (obvisously), and i didnt want to do this at first, because i thought that running the repair, would sort out the problem.


Ok so, basically it runs fine until it gets to the installation of the devices, it says that it carnt find the location of some Ethernet file, so i put in the utilities CD that came with my mobo and install it from that, it does the same for an audio file, so i do the same. Then i comes to a network file, and then comes the problem.


My mouse and keyboard just switch off and i carnt use them, i have tried using another mouse and keyboard and they dont work. So i am unable to search for this file that it carnt find on the utilities CD, so the repair setup wont continue.


I have tried to escape the repair setup and it wont stop or abort. When i restart my PC it just continues with the repair setup, if i continue with the repair setup, without the windows CD in it comes up with a error and my system restarts.


Anybody have any ideas on what i can do.

Is everything running at stock? Have you tried running memtest (test #5 especially)? Nearly always memory trouble that gives me BSODs.
 
Everything is at stock. I carnt run memtest, because it just goes into the repair setup, everytime i boot up, and it tries to continue with that, until it hits that driver installation, and then my mouse and keyboard switch off.


I am gettin non USB, keyboard and mouse tomorow so maybe then i maybe able to do something.
 
Just found i non USB mouse in my attic (took me 40mins to find), but it works... in this PC, but not the PC in question, which is agnoying.

So i may have to take it round to a mates and get it formatted, but hopefully i will be able to save my music and vids.

I hate Windows so much, its gonna be the death of me :(
