Help with Word!

I wouldn't ordinarily ask for help for something like this, but I've been scouring Word's menus and helpfiles for the past two hours with no success, and it's driving me up the wall, to the verge of sticking my hand into my monitor and
clawing out its heart!

Recently, every time I apply any kind of formatting to an entire paragraph (spacing, indentation, font, whatever), Word applies it to the entire document rather than just the selected paragraph. I urgently need to switch this off and have no idea how to!

It sounds like your normal.dot is broken in some way - try overwriting it with one from another computer or uninstalling then reinstalling Office.

Oh, sorry, I'm on 2003, although I've noticed that the copies of 2007 they use on public computers at my University also tend to do this.

I'll check if I have another copy of normal.dot anywhere, I used to back it up but I fell out of the habit in the last few months... :(
 
Hehe, I'd rather not try that cause I have a lot of autocomplete and autocorrect entries to help me with typing long German and Icelandic words with special characters! :D
