Help with X-fi Sound Blaster 5.1

So here the story: Bought sound blaster 3 months or 4 months ago worked fine on mine xp32 bit , then i decided to watercool my pc and ad 2 more gigs of ram, it came to result that i have to have 64bit oc for 4 gigs of ram so i installed windows xp x86 64 bit something like it.

So made my pc watercooled yey happy , installed xp 64 bit , then inserted the xfi blaster in pci slot turned on pc and windows could not detect the audio device :eek:

, so i thought the card got damaged some how and i send it to rma it for replacement. Got replacement today inserted the soundcard in pci slot and the same thing windows does not detect it :confused:

what could it be like does does xfi blaster not working with windows xp 64 bit ? or i did not connect some wiring at motherboard but i double checked it and it seams fine..

Can you plz help me with that problem

Ps: windows detects graphics cards as devises in case you need it to know

i just bought a X FI xtreme gamer and it cannot detect it, in all 3 of my PCI slots :mad:

I have had this problem before with an nforce4 mobo and an asus 650i mobo. Ive got the same x-fi now and its fine in my P5KC

Only thing i can suggest is have a look on creative forums see if anything helpful is on there

have you tried installing the drivers first and then installing the card?

yep i did still nothing

tried manually adding the hardware from control panel?
