Help with Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter

Hello,

Just took delivery of my Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter and my new NetGear WGR614 (v6) Router.

I have the internet working perfectly on the PC with the new router, its just a RJ-45 connecton)

The only wireless connection will be the Xbox 360.

When running the tests on the network section in the Xbox 360 it says my NAT is "STRICT"

I need to get this set to OPEN, how can i do this ?

you need to go into the router settings mate. the IP address to use should be in your manual. just make sure that firstly the wireless is on, and set to 11g or mixed. also check your security settings. if you use encription then when you will need to input the security code into the network settings on the xbox

I have the same router and have no problem connecting my 360. In the tests it says its set to strict as well, but I've never had a problem.

Ok thanks lads.

I have got Live working fine with Halo 2, no lag and it dont drop the connection.

I have 3 out of the 4 bars for the wireless signal strenght.

I aint got anymore games yet, should have PDZ and PGR3 tomorrow

I just updated the firmware for the router and now the NAT is saying OPEN

The way to fix is a firmware update.
