I've got 2 sata hdd 1dvdrw wanting to OC my X6 1090t 2x2gig ddr3

thanks for your help!

it should be.
do you already have one of the hd5850 or do you still have to buy both of them?
if you still have to buy both of them then i would certainly wait and see what the 69xx are like, if its too pricey then i would think of 2xhd6870 instead.

When I had crossfire 5850 & Overclocked i7 this pulled 430w~ from the mains at full load.

What is telling you that you need 750W?

If it is a AMD, then that is mainly to account for sub-standard power supplies that flood the market. Many of these models can't really supply their rated power, so AMD overspecify to ensure that their hardware will definately receive sufficient power. However, your PSU is a high quality one that can definitely provide the rated power - so you won't have any issues.

If you would like a sensible power calculator - I find this one produces good results.

thank you for your answer that link is good! they don't have my cpu but I'm sure it doesn't make a big difference.

I've realised I was doing it wrong I put more than 1 in number of CPU....always below gives me 530w with an X4 940... so seems I've got headroom for OCing
