Had a bit of an issue this morning. Bike wouldn't start on a few attempts, tried the killswitch (wasn't that) tried turning off the ignition and going again (didn't work) and then rolled it forward a few steps and it started.
Started absolutely fine this afternoon after work...
Any ideas? Battery is fine afaik and was using it 12h earlier so won't have been flat.

This is a video of it (few failed starts before this as well) you can see the light dim when I push the button.

EDIT: Not sure that link is right, video here: https://youtu.be/CkQk7TVmaZM

nah it should still spinup the starter motor,it wasn't doing that

wd40 the sidestand cut out switch, clutch cut out switch and inside the switchgear wher the starter button is,thats what I do,it plays up from time to time due to moisture

Probably just the wet then. Due to being in London it goes straight under a cover when I get home and i got soaked on the way home yesterday.

Phew.

I would suggest it was the moving of the handlebars that did something rather than moving it forwards. Try going full lock to full lock with the engine running and see if anything happens.

Will give that a go either tomorrow or Monday. Hoping it was just moisture somewhere! Will grab some wd40 and get that into all of the areas that affect the ignition circuit.

So the embedded code is wwwyoutube.com/watch?v=ES4FJ71hNO0& the highlighted bit of the url, you start to copy from the first character after '=' and finish at '&'.

This bit...

Does that help? :)

Kneel and look up under/in front of the clutch lever, there's usually a small cut out switch, same for your side stand

Spray those, and inside the gaps in the switchgear, that should cure it

Cheers IC3. Never used the YouTube handles before.

And thanks Wazza, WD40d all the cut out points now. Started fine again today, phew.
