Hi,

I bought FIFA 14 at the weekend for my PC and keyboard and mouse doesn't cut it really so I plugged in my xbox-360 controller and installed the drivers etc etc and it worked fine.

I then thought I'd plug in my PS3 controller to see which I preferred playing the game on and it didn't work, quick google and realised I needed to install DS3 Tool so did that and came to the conclusion that I liked the xbox controller more.

After numerous restarts and reinstalling the xbox drivers it just blinks and windows won't detect it as a device and has it listed as 'unspecified' in the Devices section of Control Panel.

Any help would be hugely appreciated :)

Very clever utility indeed but after I uninstalled them via that bit of software and then rebooted and re-installed them... the xbox controller guide button LEDS are still just flashing at me =/

It is the wireless pad via the xbox wireless receiver for windows.

I have tried it using the xbox's plug and charge cable as well and still no joy.

The xbox receiver for windows is under devices with drivers up to date. (I have uninstalled these and reinstalled them just to make sure that the motionjoy ds3 hadn't cocked them up as well)

Just the xbox controller itself just isn't sure what it is now :p

system restore to before all this trouble began?

shouldn't need any drivers with xbox controller, its plug and play

will a restore fix drivers yeah? I've not done one since a version of Windows ME F@&#'d my PC right over (that was of course MANY MANY years ago ha).

EDIT: System Restore, Date & Time 19/11/13 @ not that long ago, Device Driver Install MotioninJoy [Install].

If I choose that one will it be before the install of the PS3 controller and drivers or after? Its just that the resort point before that is FIFA 14 and the 7Gb file on Origin took nearly 12 hours to download!!! I live out in the sticks and a 1Mbit line (170ish KB/s) is my top speed :(

Restore completed.

It has reinstalled MotioninJoy which I'm not too pleased about but.... The xbox controller is working fine now so I think I'll just leave that on there and delete the desktop short cut haha.

Thanks though guys =)
