I currently have:

Asus A8n-E Mobo
1gb pc3200 OCZ GOLD 2x 512mb dual channel
Asus en6800gt ddr3 256mb.
Tagan 480WATT PSU
AMD Opteron 144 e4 Stepping Venus Core.

When i go to overclock it, it wont start up past 2.13ghz on 400mhz i need to download clock ram to 233mhz i think to get it to 2.8ghz does that make a diffrence on speed?

Running the RAM on a "Divider" as it's called (Running ram slower than the cpu speed) doesn't hinder performance of Athlon 64 systems much at all.

Drop the ram clock, up the cpu clock and enoy :)

Well i can get my opteron to 2.8ghz stable:) so it will be faster then down clocking ram

it will be faster if you don't down clock the ram but if you HAVE to to get it to 2.8 then do it :)
