hiya i stripped mi computer down to clean today and added and extra hdd i original had a sata 80g hdd drive and when ive put everything back in adding an extra hdd ide one now only 1 of the 2 of my dvd drives will show i know the other has power becasue it open does not regiester on my computer any idea

Did you put the new hard drive on an IDE cable ( the wide grey cable) that already has a drive on the other connector?

I'm assuming you can still get into windows then? If so you will need to format the new drive before it will appear in my computer and therefore be used. Start > Run 'diskmgmt.msc' > Enter and it's pretty self-explainitary from there
