Hi,

i have a mates computer i'm trying to upgrade the graphics card on but i can't tell whether it's ATI or Nvidia.

It's a HP dc7600, so far as i know it has a x16 PCI-Express slot free for use and it is a Intel mobo chipset: i945G/GZ. Thats as far as i can find with what sort of motherboard it is, he's got a intel dual core in apart from that everything else is normal.

Thanks!

Does it matter what make it is? Other than personal preference, should be a standard motherboard slot. Sure its not an onboard graphics chip?

Does the PC work mate? Just boot into Windows and look under Device Manager. Will tell you what Display Adapter is installed. :)

I'm just not sure what slot to go with, like if i buy a nvidia card or if i buy an ATI card... does it matter? I'm a bit dusty! He has crap onboard atm, so he wants an upgrade i just need to know that if i go ATI or Nvidia it'll work
