I set about building my new rig today, got everything sat in place and fired her up, then nothing, well not what I expected anyway.

I get a little green light on my board but no beeps, the fans kick in, the GPU kicks in, the light on my Fatal1ty kicks in but it refuses to post. My monitor keeps telling me to check my cables. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I'm thinking CPU, motherboard or GPU. I've tried the GPU in both slots to no avail, I'd welcome any help on this

Motherboard - Asus P5N32-E
GPU - EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS KO ACS3
Monitor - Samsung 206BW
PSU - Corsair 620w

I'd go through and check all the power connections. I'd reseat the graphics card in its slot. I'd remove all the memory and reinstall it, being sure it's all snapped in. My initial thought when reading your problem was that it was a memory issue.

Everything is getting power, all the fans spin, green light on mobo, GPU fan spins. and memory reseated. No longer getting a message on screen with regards to cables, just don't get anything.

its been a long time since I built a whole new system...but the old AGP cards really needed a good push into position.

take it out and put it back in...with force :)

Start testing the memory modules. Remove all but one DIMM and try it in each memory slot. Continue this until you've gotten it to boot or you've tested each module in every slot and it's always failed. You might want to unplug your HDD for this as you'll be powering the system up and down quite a bit.

Dimms have been checked in all slots but still nothing. If I push the card any harder it's likely to go through the back of the mobo. I'm thinking that it's probably either the GPU or the mobo. I have mailed OcUk to see if they can help and I'm awaiting their reply.
