Help!

Hi

Recently just upgraded my pc to the following

Intel Q6600 Core 2 Duo
Abit Quad GT Mobo
4GB Geil PC6400 Ram
Scythe Ninja Rev. B

I have 1x320Gb HD i want to install windows on and i have 2x250GB hd's raided together from the previous setup.

Once i setup the pc firstly it doesn't seem to recognise my raid array (hopefully haven't lost all my data) and secondly i cannot install windows vista, everytime it says read from cd/dvd drive it reboots. I have also tried a copy of XP and that read but does not load up.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

you tried setting it up with a minimum spec, cpu,gfx 1 stick memory, 1 hd, cd/dvd drive ?

did the raid drivers load okay and was raid enabled in bios ?

I haven't been able to load any raid drivers as i haven't been able to install windows yet.

I will try taking all but 1 stick out and see if that works.

i'd disconnect/remove anything you dont need to get the o/s installed.

Ye, start from the beginning with 1 new HD and work from there.

I've only got the 1 hd connected now and thats about it but it still won't load is it worth just trying it with 1 stick of ram in?

Is it possible to flash the bios without windows installed?

That shouldnt be the problem.

Make sure the boot sequence is set correctly, use 1 harddrive plugged in, and make sure the optical drive is working properly (if it wont read the XP discs ;\)
