I'm having some serious problems with our exchange 2000 server at the moment, for some reason the backups haven't been running properly and the exchange logs haven't flushed...so we're down to our last 800mb! The report I got from the last backup I ran said this:
Backup Status
Operation: Backup
Active backup destination: File
Media name: "Media created 22/11/2007 at 10:04"
Backup of "SIP2\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group"
Backup set #1 on media #1
Backup description: "Set created 22/11/2007 at 10:04"
Backup Type: Normal
Backup started on 22/11/2007 at 10:05.
WARNING: Portions of "\Mailbox Store (SIP2)" cannot be read. The backed up data is corrupt or incomplete.
This file will not restore correctly.
Backup completed on 22/11/2007 at 13:08.
Directories: 4
Files: 26
Bytes: 9,631,796,016
Time: 3 hours, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds
----------------------
Is there any way I can find out why the backup is corrupt? I did hear of a debugging mode that will help me out but I don't know how to activate it. Any help would be much appreciated and I will update the post with more info as I have it!
Thanks
