i just bought a new ATI 4870 card and now im worried it wont actually run in my system i have a ASUS P5W DH Deluxe board but it is not PCIE-2.0
compatable
is this going to bottleneck the card and not run to half its potential?
and my Main concern is will this card even run on this motherboard?

i found some forum saying that because the new ATI card is GDDR5 ram and my board is not 2.0 it is going to stop it performing to its potential:
at least it will run in my machine which i guess is the main thing if it does hamper performance hopefully it wont be a massive amount
thanks for the Quick reply :)

PCI-e is more a future compatibility thing atm than anything else - you might see some minor performance difference at the top end if things were really pushed - but unlikely.
