i cant decide what gfx card to buy ??

i play at 1680x1050 and my screen quality (an Lg) is really awesome.

Ill only be playing bf2 and BF3 when it comes out, not interested in crysis etc.

Oh and also command and conquer series of RTS games (if thats what they are).

I cant decide between

4850 1024mb (£20 more than 512)
4870 1024mb
gtx280

i want my system to last me for 2 years so i can pick up an i7 when they have matured.

the rest of the kit is going to be

I already have

corsair 580w modular
antec 900 case (for sale)
Razer Deathadder
Saitek Eclipse
Razer massive mousepad thing.

Ill use onboard sound as i have a dac for my hifi which takes optical and coaxial digital inputs.

my budget is upto £1k

what to get ?

I would say the 4850 at 512mb would be fine for your resolution. It is only when you start getting higher that the 1gb pays off properly.

The 4870 would more than likely be more future proofed if you want to spend the extra on it though.
