Thi is strange.

When i play stalker changing settings in the menu seems to run slow but game is fine.

I exited the game and screen went to 8bit colour and got this error message.

the nv4_disp display driver has stopped working normally save your work and reboot the system to restore full display.

What is that all about?

My graphics card is a geforce 8800GT very new and i am running the latest drivers.


My card is from MSI would it be best to update my drivers from their site or stick to nivida drivers?
My card does not seem to struggle with temps when ever im playing games like fear and oblivion seems to stay in the 50 degree mark.

Is there a patch available for this game? If so, stick it in, can`t hurt.

Stick with official Nvidia drivers downloaded from main site, MSI drivers you will find will become quickly outdated (as with other brands).

The problem however may not be with the drivers themselves ... windas is ***, innit?

I formatted last night and patched correctly stalker seems fine now.

I was having problems with other games becoming all blocky and stuff i think that its proberly sorted out now.
