HELP!!!

When ever I turn on the computer, safe mode starts without me telling it to and then the computer will restart when when I try to get into safe mode, so i cant get into xp normally nor can i get into safe mode

I dont know what to do please help

So just after the POST, if you hammer F8, do you get different boot options for normal mode, safe mode, safe with networking, etc?

Sounds like a repair install, at least. Boot up with Windows XP CD and select repair install. Make sure you have windows product key as it will ask for it when repairing the system.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have rebuilt the boot ini from the recovery console and that has solved the problem
