ok im freaking out here

i cant find a decent review

i posted here a while back and ended up building a system

heres what i got at the moment

intel quad core extreme qx6850

Asus P5e3 Deluxe Wifiap motherboard

1tb hdd

zalmann heat sink

corsair tx750w

only 2gb of ddr3

ati radeon x1600 (temporary until i decide)


im really going nuts here guys

i just built this rig then i7 rolled onto the scene

before i go buy corsair dominator ram and a 4870x2

i was thinking of dumping this rig and going i7

can someone who REALLY knows tell me whether i should just buy the ram and video card and be done or whether i should sell my mobo/cpu and add some cash and go i7

i want to be future proof for all the upcoming games, i want to not even have to think to put all the games at the highest setting


is my motherboard and cpu future proof with x ram and x video card?

is it worth going i7

if so , which one is the best bang for the buck?

which is the best i7 motherboard for the money

4970x2 or gtx285/295?

whats the best ddr3 ram?

and again all future proof

thanks for helping me out its a ton of questions but im getting extremely frustrated because my rig is not as blazing fast as i thought it would be but im thinking maybe that's just the ram
 
ok so im going to go with 6gb of ddr3 corsair dominator

a 4870x2 because i want overkill

but the ddr3 should i go with 1600 1800 or 2000 which one is future proof yet still not crazily expensive, is it better to go with 1800mhz of less or 1600mhz with more gb

but if i was say to sell my mobo cpu and go i7 which one would you recommend and whats the best motherboard to go with?
 
yes, a guy was going to sell it to me for 250$ but then flaked out on me so i never ended up having a 4870x2

and i did post here before but no one ever really gave me any advice on what cpu to buy they were just arguing about what was the right graphics card

then i had to stall on building my system because some issues came up and the moeny i had saved went elsewhere

so im justifying because i dont want to seem like a liar

i bought the qx6850 because i bought it as a combo with the mobo and 2gb of ddr3 for 400$ i had no clue what i was buying but it seemed like a good deal but now im not sure whether or not it was a good buy so im wondering whether or not i should sell it on ebay and add some cash and get an i7

so now the question lies, which i7 is the best for money, 920, 940 ..

and i cant seem to get any solid review of whats better the 4870x2 or the gtx series

i am very serious about this rig im just extremely confused

any help is appreciated
 
so again i did post for advice here if you search under my username but no one told me specifically of any parts they were all just generalizing
 
ok so final question

in order to play games on a hdtv 23" screen

if i bought a gtx295 would it still be worth it to upgrade my mobo cpu to i7
or should i just overclock what i have, thanks

if amto overclock whats the best cooling methods
