Downloaded both 32 and 64 bit versions of the Windows 7 RC. I have my dads old laptop, an IBM Thinkpad T30. However I think I must have accidentally installed the 64 bit version. The processor is not 64 bit compatible. I can't get to the sign in screen.

What should I do?

I have tried installing the 32 bit version, however I get the following error:

Windows could not start because of the following file is missing or corrupt.

\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup CD-ROM.

Select "r" at the first screen to start repair.

Any ideas? :(
