HELP

All 3 are great boards.

What's your overall budget (if it's for a new build), what other components will you be installing and will you be clocking the chip within an inch of its life (i would hope so with such premium MBs ;))?

EDIT: The UD3 is a great budget option...

I have always gone for Gigabyte boards myself over the years. Great RMA service (much better than Asus i'm told), really easy to overclock with and just great boards in general. Any of the boards you mentioned will let an i7 hit 4GHz though.

I love ASUS boards and everything said about the Gigabyte boards is good.

So you have some options:

  • Cheapest
  • Most expensive
  • Middle option
  • Close your eyes and point
  • Flip a 3-sided coin?

overall budget is £1000 for the TOTAL build, other components are being based around the MB so aint really purchased these yet but am looking at i7 920 processor, digital satellite tv card, sound card, bluray writer/reader x2, fan controller, water cooling, and 4xfans... and of course will be overclocking =)

Well i reccomend the Ud5 as it has great reviews but also, you are planning to "water cool". Ocuk offer a water cooling block for the UD5, so mabey take that into consideration?
