hey guys i dont know were to post this but im having trouble with my pc windows 7 keeps restaring when it gets to the welcome page it does this when my storage harddrive is connected (internal wd 500gb) but when i disconnet it it boots windows fine any idears what it could be specs are in my sig :( :mad:

Motherboard -Foxconn A6VMX(-K)
GPU - ATI Radeon HD 4650 (512 mb)
PSU - Corsair 650W TX Series
Storage - 2x Western Digital 500gb =1TB
Memory - Corsair 2GB Xms 2 (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Kit Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5 1.9V
Case - Lian-Li Lancool K62 Black Red Dragon Edition With Window ATX Mid Tower Case
Operating System - Win7 Ultimate, 32-Bit SP1
 
If the problem only exists when the storage drive is plugged in then that's the first place I would look.

Get a hold of Western Digital's diagnostics software, burn it to a disc, boot from disc and test the hard drive for errors.

I think it's called data lifeguard or something similar.
 
anyone the thing i cant understand is the fact i was using it like normal reading and write of it :/ i hope its not failing i cba to rma it
 
Ive heard of this a few times, and it doesnt necessarily mean HDD is failing, might be dodgy USB controller, maybe try an alternate one (if using MS try Intel, and vice versa, or mobo manufacturers, whatever you can get hold of)
