Can any one help? This I my first rig and in general I am very happy with it. But I'd love to successfully create a stable over clock, but even using AMD overdrive even only the smallest tweaks cause the system to crash. Where am I going wrong? Here's my system:

Amd phenom x2 550 be at stock 3.1 ghz
Gigabyte ga-790xta-ud4 with award f3 bios
6 gb gskill ddr3 pc3-10700
2x HIS 5770 1gb on xfire

Any tips would be great.
Cheers

how is the ram mounted? 3x2Gb sticks? you wont get a full fat OC with all that ram, and seeing as Amd only utilizes Dual channel memory, not triple channel, you'd be better off with Dual for overclocking, what sort of settings are you using, how are you overclocking? upping the Clck? how much? are you tweaking the voltage any?

i dont know about your board much but pretty sure a Phenom X2 should be good for at least 3.8Ghz also, what cooling are you using? power supply make and model might be good too ;)
