Just moved and after transporting my PC(self-built) i plugged it in and it wont turn on, i opened it up and the light on the on bord power button is flashing red every couple of seconds, however when it is working the red light is solid.

Please help as i'm realy worried.

Full system specs? How did you transport your PC? I would perhaps try take everything apart and rebuild it, and see if that works.

It is possible that something got damaged during the move.

It is hard to tell exactly what is wrong with it because we do not know the make and model of your board. Every motherboard manufacturer has a different set of warning lights and beeps to another. Speaking of beeps, do you get any?

i took it apart and rebuilt and it booted fine however now it says "reboot and select proper Boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key"

Before you ask i have a Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 mobo and a crucial 64gb c300 ssd into the the SATA 6GBs port on the motherboard

You've probably connected your drives to different SATA ports than previously. Have a look in the bios and you'll find somewhere to select the boot priority. Set this to your boot drive and all should be fine.

So Windows recognises the drive but won't boot from it? A fresh install of Windows may help although I don't see how moving the PC would have corrupted it. Have you tried different SATA and power cables, and a different SATA port?
