Someone please help, I installed my new bundle from overclockers today and at first everything was fine. Now I am getting random freezes, after which I have to restart, when doing so the system then restarts itself after 15 seconds of trying to boot. Any ideas what it could be? Quite worrying.
I did notice when I received the bundle that the motherboard seemed slightly bent, I thought I'd still install it anyway as nothing seemed damaged, could it be the board?

Any help appreciated thank you.

Check if all the connectors are plugged in properly or not! (24 Pin, 12V 8 Pin, PCI-E connectors if any, HDD/SSD power&data)

Also it would help if you state what your bundle is!

Have you checked the connectors?
Also when you seated the Heatsink did you take the protective cover out?(if any)
Did you use mother board sandoffs when mounting the mobo in your case?

The corsair A50 had a plastic square over where it sits on the cpu, I removed that.
By sandoffs do you mean the brass bits on the case that you screw the motherboard screws into? If so, yes, I have them all in the right places.
Haven't checked the connections yet I will now

Another thing, when I turn the pc off or restart it, it tries to reboot for about 7 seconds (on a blank screen) and restarts itself, then boots up normally..

It seems like the overclock is too much. SO that is why I asked if you can reset the bios.
Usually there is a reset bios jumper in your mobo.
Check your mobo manual for the location.
Or you can remove the battery on the mobo and leave it for couple of minutes and put the battery back in and start your PC and see what happens.
But as you say you are a noob, please unplug the mains power lead before you do any thing inside the PC!

Could it be I haven't put enough thermal paste under the CPU cooler? I put on a ball a bit smaller than a pea as it's my first time doing it and I didn't want to put too much on. If so can it be taken back off and more added?

Seems to be running fine now, I changed out the old sata cables i was using for the new ones that came in the motherboard box, could it have been the old cables i used werent fast enough for the 6gb/s motherboard slots and my 6gb/s hdd?
