HELP!!!!!!

Need help from you knowledgeable lot, I was playing FIFA this afternoon and when at the main menu i am greeted with a big green box to say my Firewall is open, then on my game this afternoon i was greeted with a red box to say it is Restricted. Now when i go into my Windows firewall and advanced security i get this error

"Windows Firewall with advanced Security snap-in failed to load. Error Code 0x6D9"

I searched google and it lead me to a microsoft fix it exe file and which i downloaded and ran but when it attempts to repair the firewall it fails.

The only thing i think i could have done is i used revo uninstaller to uninstall a few games but deleted everything in the registry files including the firewall. I have read that a fresh install of windows 7 would fix this but i really don't want to lose all my games and files on my HD and i only have the OEM disk so it may not say its legit anymore if i do it.

Any solution would be appreciative. thanks.

Download both the registry files

Launch and import them to registry

Restart your PC

Now,open RUN and type

regedit and click ok

go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\BFE

Right click on it-permissions

Click on ADD and type

Everyone and click ok

Now Click on Everyone

Below you have permission for users

Select full control and click ok

Now,open RUN and type

services.msc and click ok

start base filtering engine service and then windows firewall service

Found this and it worked a treat, Now i can turn my Firewall on and set rules for games again. I have scanned my PC for malware too as i read that there is a hack going around that disables your firewall so scan it first if your having trouble, if it comes up with nothing use this method.

it took me ages to find it searching on google and clicking every page, was up til 5am this morning until i found the fix. by the looks of it its a known problem with an update or something.
