Post a spec me in 'graphics cards'. They'll sort you out. Make sure you include PSU, screen resolution and budget.

bump i put the monitor to the on board GPU. Seems like the graphics card is the problem. the card is only a month old. what next ?

read this nVidia - Display, Other hardware - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti

Installation date: ‎18/‎06/‎2012 23:11

Installation status: Canceled

Error details: Code 8024000B

Update type: Optional

nVidia Display, Other hardware software update released in February, 2012

This installed last night before the crash well it says it didnt install... and i cant find it to delete it

I also tryed the to plug the monitor back to my card but goes back to square one

Are you sure that the graphics drivers are not there?
Take a look here http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_13955.html
Sounds to me like your drivers just may be borked or non existant

Also, do you have another working card that you can borrow or steal to test. Would be pretty bad to fork out on a new card if it's the PCIE slot on the board that's gone.

might try your card on his system too. And see if it works. The strangest things happen in computers.. after all computer gremlins are nasty little critters.

Problem solved. The graphics card was the gremlin... The system seems to be running far faster with the new card. Thanks for your support. I want to thank your mothers and fathers for being up so technically minded people har har har

Glad you got it sorted fella.

Glad it sorted.

As for hammers... well... I keep one handy in case one of them gremlins ever stick his head out... and it doesn't if its a woman or not! Wham!! Dead Gremlin. :D
