Good Morning,

I am a bit of a nub when it comes to computers. I have recently started to enjoy PC Games a lot more than my Xbox. However, the processor on my laptop is terrible in comparison to the other specs. So looking to build a good gaming rig whilst keeping my laptop for Uni work.

I have a good monitor already so will not need to purchase another one. I am on a students budget but looking to spend £400-£600 to start with.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I really have no idea what to look for.

Games that I have recently bought and be looking to play on high settings are Rome II, Crusader Kings II, Battlefield 4 etc.

Many Thanks,

Jarl74

It will play stuff like bf4 on medium/high easily idleman and a few others are very good speccers if they say itr will work it will work, if your at UNI see if they will or have made you a DREAMSPARK accoountyou get free Microsoft OS's and other should things on there for students

What processor would you recommend as the next step up?

what would you suggest that I upgraded out of the GPU or Processor if I was to upgrade one more thing in that basket?

If you have the funds, then the only thing I would up grade would be the 270x for a 280x.
