Help my tubing burst last night when I put in my new card and coolant. Mayhems Red Pastel burst all over my MOBO and GPU and CPU. The PC was on at the time and I pulled the plug fast. I removed as much Coolant as possible however there is a lot in the hard to get to bit on my MOBO. I have taken my whole PC apart to get rid of as much coolant as possible. However im afraid if I set it up again and put it on whoosh no PC. Is there anything I can do to get rid of those hard to get too bits of coolant especially those in the PCIE slots and those in my USB on my MOBO.

Many thanks in advance

Sandy

Wash it with distilled water? Or even better a bit of IPA and dab it away. Be careful it can eat certain plastics.

How long was the loop running for before the tube popped?

Wash the board with deionised water and then leave for a few days in an airing cupboard next to a small bowl of uncooked rice (or some of those bags of dessicant if you happen to have any laying around)

Less than 20secs when it happened as I was trying to stop coolant bursting into pc and floor. However it soaked right into my PCIE slot before I got to it. I have IPA I will sort it tomorrow. Many Thanks.

Seriously go careful. IPA was fine on my old AMD 3 board (bathed the mobo in it) no issues but an old school Intel pentium 3 board started flaking paint and the glue on the ram slots came free.

Use small amounts and dab away.
