Hi guys. I'm looking to build a new machine soon as I've sold my current one. The main uses for the machine will be graphic design, listening to music and programming. I'm looking to spend about £1200. I was tempted to get a mac but lets face it, the hardware is way overpriced. I was considering the dual core intel processors? are those good for my purpose? Thanks.

I need monitor, keyboard, the full works.

I knew I had forgotten something lol. The 3800+ X2, is that fast compared to a 3.0ghz dual core intel? What speed does it run at? I'm just thinking in terms of running vista in the future and graphics software, would it have problems?

Will the antec 450 PSU be good enough to power the x1800 xt? Does it have the correct connector?
