ive checked theres nothing, btw wen i try to use the cd drive it says its not accesible, 100 posts gives u free shipping if uve been a member on ocuk for a year but ive been a member since 18th April 08.

i have uninstalled the driver and it removes it completely so the computer thinks theres no cd drive whic hasnt worked

After removing it you will need to reboot the machine.

OK i have just done that and wen i click the CD drive it says it is not accessible has the drive died or something?

What motherboard do you have? More than likely you've recently installed some software which is conflicting. Did you install anything recently that may use or have the option to use your drive?

i have a GigaByte P35 S3G Mother board and i havnt installed any software lately.this is really weird lol

YESSSSSSSS dont worry guys i found out how to do it. The drives were not recognized by windows and dead dude helped me by writing that. because windows did not recognize it as a recording device the recording tab wasn't there so i used this website

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;316529

and changed it to recognize it through the registry so its all good now

No, you've been a member since 11th March 09, according to your profile. And judging by how many double, triple, quadruple and even pentuple posts you've made, if you HAD been a member since April 08 you'd have about 8000-10000 posts.

I reckon this whole thing is just a big plot to get 100 posts for free shipping, but someone didn't realise you need more than just that

. Glad you got your drive fixed though...

lol i just made this forum account, i have had an over clockers account for a while and i thought i got my drive fixed, i can access the drive and i can prepare things to burn on the disc but when i thought i had it i pressed next and it says insert a blank disc but i already have one lol. Its getting annoying now......

You need to have a forum account for over a year, I think, not a shop account. Or you could get 250 posts and wait until 11th June. It's a bit of a desperate measure to get free shipping though.

lol could be, thats rubbish if it is though. This CD Drive is so annoying i give up lol.
