my internet/firefox has just gone weird.

i was browsing fine and then it went mad.

i couldnt view websites even though i had internet connection (downloading a game from steam)

sometimes it works on ocuk then one min it wont.

none of my bookmarks work and just get a error saying cant connect.

i havent touched anything regarding setting's either.

one min it will work and the next it will not ?

any help would be great.

Do other browsers work ok?
Who is your ISP? -could be a DNS issue their end

Try using google dns servers http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html

Either set it up in your router, or your NIC

Have you tried deleting your temporary files and perhaps even flushing the DNS Cache (from a command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns). After that I would try a reset on your router perhaps.

seems to be ok now using the ipconfig /flushdns.

will see how it goes during the day.

could well be a dns issue at talk talk.

Change the DNS setting in your router or NIC settings as already suggested to you. Use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and see if the problem goes away.

Run a scan with Malwarebyte's Antimalware - it could be some crapware causing problems. Try other browsers.

Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?
