bought brand new msi 790fx amd mobo. got powercolor 4890 graphics card. installed vista on it. everything working fine. then all of a sudden i turn around and nothing on screen. i restart computer and nothing on screen???

no beeps. all lights come on. however the cpu fan doesn't work. its plugged into the 4-pin CPU Fan socket. but I have 3 extra fans right next to it so processor doesn't burn. before i check and the cpu fan worked aswell.

i'm using ocz reaper memory and apparently on one forum it said changing the memor fixed his problem... but i installed vista using this and all of a suddent his happened.. could it be memory?

looks like my problem is that the motherboard won't post anymore? any ideas what would have caused this?

slightly worried though.. the system beeps 7 times in like a tune. its like beep beep.... beep... beep beep (slightly different to first 3 and last 1)... beep (same as first 3)... and then the normal beep before it starts.. does this have any significance? should i be worried? because the computer is working fine.. vista is booting fine. i hope its just the mobo playin with me and singing me a tune..

I've had a little look around and figured that MSI uses AMI BIOS. And in AMI BIOS 7 short beeps mean Virtual mode exception error. I don't have a clue what that means? Anyone any ideas? Also Can someone give me a name of a program which I can run whih does extensive tests on my computer to test that every hardware on it is working 100%
