Here comes the 60GB 360...

Not really, but half decent prices would be alright, I mean they must be raking in cash for some of the prices on accessories. £64.99 for a 20Gb HD & £54.99 for a WiFi adapter! That's already just under an additional £120 needed for a large proportion of the market.

See above.

But Sony wouldn't charge a high price for official hardware? Right?

I'm sure Sony would sell cheap hard drives and WiFi adapters if the PS3 didn't have them built-in, right?

20Gb is ok if youre only using it for savegames, but if youre into keeping videos, demos and music then 20Gb really is **** all. Lets just hope M$ dont charge stupid prices.

Nice to see you contributing to another 360 thread in your usual pro MS ways. :)

Thanks so did you.

Like I give a **** lol.

To of "failed" I would have needed to misspell something. Please enlighten me as to what it was. Unless of course you were referring to substituting the "S" in Sony with a "$" sign.

You can't exactly bash Microsoft for the prices, Sony would do the same and Nintendo probably would too.

It's just how it is.
Well Sony have chosen to put in a standard HDD which is swappable for any HDD you want, Microsoft have done the opposite. As far as the pricing goes, £69 for a HDD and £54 for a wifi adapter deserves to be bashed because they are a total and blatant rip off, especially the 'couple of quid to produce' wifi adapter.
However, like you have already stated, Sony could have done the same and charged a premium for them as add-ons too. But they didn't, so we'll never know what 'could have been' so, there's no point arguing about it :) Anyway a good argument needs to be backed up with facts not speculation...

And overly sensitive people will comment every time

It's not about being sensitive.

We see thread after thread with forum contributors wanting a mature place to come and debate and I was suggesting that a good first step to achieve this is not condoning such fan boy immaturity.

On more mature hardware forums, AVSforums for example, the constant use of $ for M$ or $ony would soon see your posting privalages removed.

Microsoft must know now that the end of the format war means Sony's PS3 is going to start to rise in popularity faster. I don't think Microsoft would put a more expensive HDD in their machine if they didn't think they had to.

On a slightly related note, once the arcade takes it's imminent price drop to become cheaper the wii, their preparations will be ready and expect a biiiig 360 marketing push around the time of GTA4's arrival.

A shortcut to what?

A shortcut to Microsoft, what did you think I meant :(.

It's no shorter than typing MS

and ?, your point being ?, M$ is still a shortcut, and one which I prefer to use, I have no problem with 'Microsoft' I just prefer to use M$, I really can't fathom why people would take offence, I think the dollar sign suits it, I mean they are a multi-million dollar cooperation, theres nothing wrong in that.

<double post for the lose....:(>

there's obviously no real benefit, its just MS either saving money as kreee has pointed out or just trying to make the average Jo think the 360 is better because it has 'more gigabytes'.
