I own an Asus P5Q Deluxe and its a great board and suits my needs. Previously over the years I have accessed the bios to over clock by hitting the delete key on my reculsa USB keyboard.

I tried this again recently to no avail. It appears that my keyboard does not wake up from the computer starting quick enough for me to hit delete before the windows 7 scree welcomes me!

To solve this I tried a USB to PS2 adapter. No keyboard found!

Today I bought a PS2 keyboard and guess what? No keyboard found.

Not sure if my PS2 port is borked.

So how the hell to I access the bios now?

Advice appreciated

Don't try hitting the delete key at the right moment.

Just hold the delete key down then switch the PC on.

Keep the delete key pressed until, hopefully, you're in the BIOS.

Not yet. That may be my last resort to remove the CMOS battery.

Daft question time - I recall when I put my SSD in last year I set the BIOS to AHCI. If I reset the bios will that change? I did not want to screw settings up:(

silly question but do u have a logitech keyboard?
