i have a windows xp laptop HP and i have just gone in to the C drive and found that no files are there.

IT goes in to windows fine and when i type C:\windows or C:\Documents and settings it goes to the directories but for some reason they are not seen in the root and i have made sure they are set as not hidden!

any ideas?

Grab tweakUI, tell it not to hide anything.
