Yeah i tested it, huge boost in valley, with official drivers i scored 2052, with the new ones 2227, i guess everyone is using official drivers on the leader board though so i aint gonna post them.

I can pretty much guarantee you almost no one is using official drivers on that Leader board.

you can use whatever drivers you want as long as they are from AMD / Nvidia, WHQL or not.

On a happier note for happier users:

Look at the 50's performance increase, and it just got better on this driver!

BF3 Multiplayer 7950, +60% that is astonishing.

Wow i am seeing a large performance boost in far cry 3 with beta 6. None of those artifacts either that appeared in previous driver versions. I also believe they have done something with the frame latency in farcry 3 as it felt like a different game from when i last played it. A big change.

And still no release notes, what are they playing at?

Are they trying to hide something from someone?
