Hi

I've said to my mother that I'll copy her multiple little address books (paper) onto the computer, in part so it's easier to find an address and in part for printing out addresses etc.
However I'm not sure if there is any software that can do it in a common format, and (this is key) that I can enter on my PC under my normal User account, then export to another PC.

I know Windows Live Mail etc can/do address books and contacts, but as I understand it they're linked to the user account, which wouldn't work as I want it to be separate to my contacts (but be able to update it without having to muck about with a different account on my PC, or using my mum's laptop).

ah, but will that enter them in my own contacts?

I ask as I want to keep the two completely separately :)
If worst comes to worst I'll do it on her laptop (using a proper keyboard), but I'd really like to be able to enter the contacts onto a separate listing on my machine, then export/copy it over :)
I'm fairly sure my mum would get confused with the number of people with names like Wibble, Clocking god or Wizzza (not real names but the sort of thing) that are in my current contacts listing.

Although now you've said that, I think I've got Thunderbird installed which would probably do the same thing and I've never added any contacts to.

edit
Any yup, Thunderbird looks to use a separate listing to Live Mail, which will give me a start (now to find a programme that's as simple as possible for my mum to use - she doesn't do email)
