Have you seen the posts from people saying its fake?

No record of it reported to the police etc. Dont know who to believe, guy is a hero if true
 
Saw this last night on the MLR. It's a bit of a wierd one.

Thing is, its very difficult to tell whats the truth as some people are just rubbish at describing events that occurred, which is usually what people pick holes in (not to mention what lawyers make a living from).
 
not convinced, regardless of whether it was in the press. not everything is reported in the local news etc it just seems a bit far fetched
 
the people spending so much time arguing its fake sound like the ones that spent ages arguing that the hit and run youtube video was fake.

Until a journalist from the guardian published the court date and punishment and it was proven real.......

Then when reading the replies and thinking about it in more detail some things just dont add up.

* How on earth can someone who has had a bullet go through their abdominal area be in a fit state to leave the hospital the next day?

* By the same token how on earth could the same person climb into a car over a roll cage the very next day. I can only imagine the pain one must be in with freshly torn muscles and tissue in the mid section even when in a resting position let along raise the knees towards to the stomach!

* Any gun crime (especially in London) is a serious crime and even if the victims names were kept hidden the police would still make this public to get the weapons off the streets before it happens again

* If the area is known to be dodgy, what on earth was a woman from a close knit 2.4 type of family doing walking alone through a park at that time of night?

* Why would the husband of the woman who was screaming for her life the night before allow his wife to go and pick the Evo up? Im both a father and a husband and im telling you now no husband in their right mid would allow their wife to go and do that after such an ordeal

If the OP wanted to silence people on here he would have posted a couple of more pics to stop the doubters continuing. If only to shut them up and make them look stupid. As it is the OP has stayed away from this thread since the critical questions have been asked.

I for one hope he is telling the truth and if he is then he should do everything he can to bring the 'thug's to justice and get them off the streets before they try and rape other women.

If he is not telling the truth then he has just dug himself a hole so big that he wont be seen for a while on the net under the same name.

Interesting read, especially the last 10 pages or so.

I will go with fake.

Just shows how big the internet can be in you're social and personal life these days. People are actually ringing this guys boss and asking him if there is any truth behind this.

Lesson to be learned. Don't go making big hero lies over the internet as some sad acts will actually go out there way to prove you are lying on the internet.

Assuming it's real:

Anyone who drives whilst they "felt a bit merry" is a bit of an idiot in my book. Also driving against medical advice means he was uninsured so is also wrong.

But fair play for helping someone in need.

the posts about how the youtube hit and run video has to be real were equally as convincing.

"its a marketing scam"

"theres nothing in the press"

"the police have no record"

"the person falls too easily, it was a dummy"

"they have removed the 999 calls because they don't exist"

so many arguments, all of them reasonable. But they were wrong. I'll reserve judgement until its proven either way. I think you'd have to be pretty sad to make something this serious up.

Truth be told, you can't post anything on the internet without the worry somebody will take offense to it. Look at the moron who reported gibbo to his local porsche dealership because he was "modifying" his car by retrfoitting the powerpack components and his PSE himself and intending to keep the warranty.
 
I've not seen lies of this mavity on OcUK. I've been on here 10 years and the worst of it was claiming random girls off the internet as their girlfriends or claiming to own cars they didn't own.

nothing like this.
 
Meh, I only read the OP and a few lines down, wasn't going to go through 37 pages at work! I'll let someone else read them all and tell me of the outcome!
