Hero4 flare?

Has anybody noticed quite bad flaring with their Hero4 Black? Not the usual good lens flare, but nasty irregular apparitions? Starting to wonder if i have a dodgy lens on mine as my Hero3 Black doesn't have anything like the same problem. I've used medium to superview, with the same results.

Don't have a hero, but if you've used it much perhaps some of the lens coating has worn off?
Have a look for a lens hood, that should cut down on it a fair bit.
