Heroes of Annihilated Empires ( screen garbled )

My screen comes out like that with this game , also before you launch the game it complains about a lack of agp memory and i need to set my AGP memory in bios.

It's a shame because i really enjoyed this game but theres no chance in hell of getting GSC to patch the game to fix the huge amount bugs in it.

unfortunately, every thread in the Steam HoAE subforum is regarding this issue, and not a single one has a ffix mentioned, even as far back as last year :/

I'd open a Steam ticket, and also mail the devs?

From what i've read on the main forums GSC hasn't supported this game for a long time now

Didn't work mate , the game still launched and the text is still all garbled... That patch just stops the game from crashing with an agp message but i didn't get any crash..

hehe , though its a brilliant game i rated it a goty title when i was playing it... Problem is i want to play it again and now i can't :mad:

seems so.. I tried the demo this morning, and I get the same issue as you. I'm on ATI hardware, so that rules out drivers as we've got completely different cards, but we're both on Vista64.

I thought it might be a Steam Overlay issue, but it happens if I launch the exe manually too.

I'm pretty sure, given as

a) it's easily testable
b) every post in the steam forum is regarding this issue

that you shouldn't have any issue in getting a refund from Steam. Hopefully, they'll have had a number of refund requests, making them give the developers a good kick.
