Heroes Over Europe. Release fail?

I had quite been looking forward to this game and was initially disappointed at the studios falling out with Atari, and it subsequently being dropped just prior to its release, earlier in the year. It seems the fail just continues with this release.

Despite it being a flight combat game, albeit on the arcade side, it has shipped with no joystick support. :eek:

Seriously...how is that even possible?

I'm starting to wonder if this is why a price and "buy" option has yet to appear on Steam, even though it is supposed to unlock today. May well hold off on purchasing this now.

The prequel, Heroes Of The Pacific was far from a "Sim" and was easily playable on a gamepad and seeing as the game is cross platform, is hardly surprising.

Also, seeing as HOTP had Joystick "patched in", I am sure the same will happen with this when they see if the demand is there.

Seeing as it is an Arcade title though, I am not surprised to see no Joystick support initially.

was considering getting this if there was some busy online action. surely joysticks will work, i hope so, looks fun enough.

There is currently NO joystick support!!!!!. Unbelievable

They are working on a patch for it at the moment, works fine with the 360 controller.
