Has anybody got any views or experiences with HP laptops. I am looking at the DV9288EA. What is the build quality like and what is there customer service like if there are problems.

I've got an old(ish) HP from the XP-M sort of era so it is about 4 years old maybe and the build quality is good, the keyboard is far superior to newer Dells that I've used for instance and everything still feels solid after all this time. I don't know about customer service though since I've never had to use it. :)

i have a dv6190eu and love it.

Build quality is better than the dell d610's d620's and the screens are very good.

No experiance on the 9xxx's series, but id the 6's are anything to go on its goot.

I've got a nx6325

Dual Core Turion 64 with 1.5 Gigs of RAM, biometric finger print reader, and a 60 GB 7200 rpm HDD, its a good little laptop, nice and light too

Thanks for the replys. I have a Dell 630 but was looking for something a bit more powerfull and a bigger screen. It is reassuring to know that the build quality is better than the Dell so I may purchase the HP. I have a mate with a 17 inch Medion and the build quality on that is awful even though it was a nice spec. I just wanted to get a few answers from people who have used a HP.

I got the same laptop, i think its fantastic. It was a coinflip between this and a Dell, but the HP had the better spec pound for pound.. plays sims 2 and pro evo on the move so that does me!

i have had a HP Pavilion DV9030EA laptop since the beginning of December, its very well built
had no problems so far and I'm very pleased with it, plays GTR2 and race no problem at all.

1.8gig x2 AMD Turion 64
2gig ddr2 ram
