HI, my sisters comp is a HP and its about 4yrs old. its been messing up for ages now but other day it wouldnt boot into windows. i tried to fix the boot ect but no help. I used the inbuilt repair windows recovery partition that is installed on the hard drive, followed the instructions, this repaired windows. But when booting up with repaired windows it says configuration error. Ring HP and it says to say the code : Purple.
Any ideas on how to solve this. If i was to boot of my own personal Windows XP home disk but use the windows home cd key from the side of her pc would that work>?
