Hey all :) // Help with a build..

It was suggested to me after a few different decisions, is there any reason why you would have gone for the gigabyte over the asus one then if you weren't overclocking? Which you might have seen I won't be going mad on :p

not sure what the asus board offers, teh gigabyte one had sata 3.0 etc (future proof). I used a gigabyte build on a old machine and it worked well (previous experiance) also it has support for xfire / sli, the board also looks good (is that allowed).

So no real strong reasons, im just comparing really as im quite new to this.

SATA 3 is on the asus board too, unless I'm going blind, or did you mean usb3. in which case the asus board doesn't.

It has crossfire support for the ati's, which is what I'm using.

Highly unlikely that I'll need to even consider crossfire anytime soon anyway so thats not going to bother me.

So, Patriot or Corsair, at stock speeds?

I've only ever run Corsair to be honest but wouldn't mind the change if it's going to be cheaper or quicker! they both have a life time guarentee!
